Repair a Tooth and Restore Your Smile
At Cityview Family Dental Centre in Ottawa, dental crowns, also known as dental caps, are often used as a restorative method if a tooth is damaged or broken.
What is a Dental Crown?
A dental crown (or dental cap) covers your tooth to give it structure and support.
Porcelain (tooth-coloured crowns) are the most popular, because they resemble your natural teeth.
Porcelain crowns are made to match the shape, size, and colour or your teeth giving you healthy looking smile.
What are some reasons for crowns?

How does the dental crowns procedure work?
Dental crowns will happen within two dental appointments. You first will come into the dentist office to get impressions taken of your smile.
Your impressions will be sent to the dental lab, where your crown will be created. You will return to the dentist to have your crown placed into your mouth.
